2 x 45 km in the wrong shoes

In 2019, it was the 6th time I participated in the Haervejsmarchën with my husband and good hiking friends. The first time we were here, we had no idea what it meant to walk 2 x 45 kilometers. We were wearing completely the wrong shoes, and we had to seek help from the Samaritans to get help for our many blisters. We were really happy with the help of the Samaritans - they do a great job, and I am still really happy that the opportunity is there.

The Haervejsmarchën is an incredibly cool event for me. Hilly terrain with absolutely sublime viewpoints along the way. It does something good for your head and body, so you can feel your mind and soul relax and enjoy the stress relief of nature. I take home so much that I can use in my sports therapy business back home.

Warm ambassador for the march

Every year it is so incredibly nice to get away from home - and meet up in the familiar surroundings in and around Viborg to hike the historical routes. I am a warm ambassador for the Haervejsmarch and would like to encourage all hiking enthusiasts to reserve the last weekend in June from Friday to Sunday. I have sewn the Haervejsmarch badges on my cap and hiking bag, so I never forget the Haervejsmarch. Every year I look forward to meeting other hikers from Denmark and abroad, and to feeling the good atmosphere both at rest areas and at the start and finish at the Parade Square.

I also like to notice that the many volunteers spend many hours organizing a great event. Each one of them takes pride in the fact that we get new experiences home every year, which exude quality and a friendly community with each hiker.
