A TRADITIONAL MARCH FOR EVERYONE
HÆRVEJSMARCHEN is for everyone who loves hiking, getting outdoors, putting lots of kilometres behind them – and not least, experiencing the unique marching community. The march takes place over two days, and you can choose to walk either on the Saturday, the Sunday or on both days. With distances ranging from 1x 5 km to the extreme route of 2x45 km, Hærvejsmarchen offers walking routes for every preference – and every level of fitness.
TWO-DAY ROUTES WITH MEDALS
HÆRVEJSMARCHEN is the original two-day march, which was arranged for the first time in 1969. The march is part of the IML Walking Association, and Hærvejsmarchen is actually the biggest IML march in Northern Europe. As part of the march culture, everyone who completes a two-day march will receive a medal.
PLEASE NOTE: It is expected that all hikers will show consideration for other participants and private landowners, and will help protect the nature along HÆRVEJSMARCHEN’s routes.
