When I'm out hiking

Thoughts from a 92,000 kilometer journey

When I'm out hiking, I enjoy admiring the nature I'm in. The landscape is very different from place to place, and even if you've been to the same place before, there are still new aspects to discover.

Hiking for a whole day provides a healthy form of exercise, where the metabolism is constantly going on, without it putting a heavy strain on the body. In this way, I feel that while I'm getting exercise, I'm also charging my body with new energy.

The head also gets new energy when you hike. Your thoughts can run free, and you can clear up many of the speculations you often carry around.

There's also a big side benefit to going out hiking on organized tours, as you meet many other people. Often you're accompanied by someone you already know, but it also often happens that you're accompanied by people you've never spoken to or seen before. It gives you an extra experience when you make new contacts that way.
